Mike Dempsey

Mike Dempsey has been a graphic designer for over 40 years.

During that time he worked in publishing for ten years, founded the design consultancy CDT Design 28 years ago. Has created everything from stamps for Royal Mail, feature film title sequences for Ridley Scott, Louis Malle, Dennis Potter, David Hare and Bruce Beresford, the visual identities for English National Opera, the South Bank Centre, Design Museum, the London Chamber Orchestra and writes regularly for various design magazines. In between he’s had six children, two divorces, five cats, two dogs, 12 cars, 8 houses, won ten D&AD Silvers and a Gold award, the CSD Minerva award was elected a member of Alliance Graphic International, was a past President of D&AD, made a Royal Designer for Industry and is Past Master of the latter Faculty. He set up Studio Dempsey in January 2008 and lives and works in London and Dorset.
